When Dmitri heard Bella's voice, it was like a ray of hope for him. He thought he was on the brink of death that is why he is imagining his Malyshka's voice. He just wanted to go back to the time when he met her for the first time in the mall. There he didn't know she was his enemy's daughter and he was just a stranger who gave a puppy to her but now the dynamics has changed.  Now he didn't know if he will be able to meet her ever again.
